80's
So here is my first ... I mean second (if you count my cube)... assignment for my Digital Illustration class. The assignment was to do an illustration in whatever digital media i felt most comfortable with. I'm not comfortale with any digital media so the "digital" part of this image was scanning it.
As far as the concept goes, it's my solution to the rubik cube (or is it rubix?)! I also used a typical 80's color scheme with almost neon renditions of the primary colors.

Great! Love the character, excellent style. Its really funny how he is peeling of the stickers. Well Done!
Love your style, great colouring!
Like his eyes. A good one!

Very good! Reminds me a bit of Glin Dibley's work. Great project from your professor!

p.s. - I Never did that to my rubix cube . . . it was much easier to just take it apart. hehe.
great drawing!!!
cool...i still have more profile views
I love your colours first of all. Fantastic job on that! Second of all, fun take on the theme. I am a huge Rubik's geek (yes it's Rubik's not Rubix)!
Great job!!
During IF 2020, when the topic is 2010...you can use the color scheme chrome...because everything thing is chrome in the future...that being said...great illustration and in this digital age never lose your feel for the traditional!
I like how retro your painting feels (and I like the Atari shirt). Your right eye feels a little too distorted to me, and the right arm needs a little work. Good job though.
Hah! That's how I used to solve them! I like this guy.
This is awesome. I really like the line work and the colors. It is super. The only thing that is a little freaky is the front arm holding the cube. I really like the distortion everywhere else it really makes the character.
